Snow

Frosted window panes, snowmen, sledding, skiing, hot cocoa... Or, shoveling, treacherous highways, nuisance, sore back.

Either way, people have emotional reactions to snow.

I like it.

It's like the creator's hand using whiteout, making the world seem pure and unblemished if only for a moment in time. I grew up in a place where people weren't afraid of the cold. "No bad weather, just bad clothing" kind of idea. And I like the cozy, dreamy feeling of pulling inward to reflect by a fire.
